Delaware Agriculture Week returns January 12–15 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington, continuing a 20-plus year tradition of bringing together farmers, producers, and agricultural professionals from across the First State. The event features expert-led sessions, continuing education opportunities, industry exhibits, and networking across a wide range of agricultural topics, with new virtual options available in 2026 to support biosecurity needs.

Seaford High School is hosting its First Annual Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 8 AM–Noon, featuring 30 talented local vendors with handmade gifts, décor, baked goods, and more. Enjoy delicious food trucks supporting the freshman class and a special visit from Santa Claus. Join us for holiday shopping, family fun, and festive cheer as we kick off the season together!

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore invites caregivers to the Caregiver Resource Center Open House on December 3, from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. at 61 Corporate Circle in New Castle. Explore helpful caregiver resources, see hundreds of assistive technology tools, and get gift ideas for loved ones. Delaware’s holiday parade season is here, and Seaford’s “Candyland Christmas” Parade kicks off December 6 at 7 PM. Led by Grand Marshal Bill Bennett, the parade travels from Nylon Boulevard through downtown Seaford with festive floats, bands, and holiday magic. Registration closes December 1, and the event will be broadcast on TV Delmarva and streamed online. A sweet kickoff to the season!

It’s a bit of a drive from the 39th District, but the Sea Witch® Festival in Rehoboth Beach is well worth it! Visitors come from across the East Coast for this iconic event running October 25–27, 2025. Enjoy the Sea Witch Parade, Costume and Dog Contests, Fiddler’s Festival, and family fun all weekend long. On Constitution Day, about 50 guests gathered at the DuPont Country Club for CaesarRodney250: The Midnight Ride that Made a Nation. The evening featured a moving reenactment of Caesar Rodney’s historic ride and a lively policy forum led by CRI’s Center Directors. Starting Fri., Sept. 26, Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding offers a free 8-week Equine Program for Veterans—Fridays 10AM-12PM, a chance to connect, heal, and grow through horses. Constituent Coffee Meetings with State Rep. Danny Short return on Wed., Oct. 1 at 8 AM at the Nanticoke Senior Center in Seaford. This week, the 39th District pauses to honor September 11, 2001—a day of shared grief and enduring unity. Across Sussex County and beyond, communities will gather for candlelight ceremonies, memorial services, and a special flag salute at Bethany Beach. As we reflect on the courage of that day and the selflessness that followed, we stand together in remembrance, reverence, and action.

The 39th District proudly promotes the work of the Caesar Rodney Institute (CRI), a Delaware nonprofit dedicated to protecting liberty through fact-based policy solutions in education, energy, healthcare, and the economy. CRI’s upcoming CaesarRodney250 events—The Midnight Ride that Made a Nation with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a live policy forum—blend history with solutions for Delaware’s future.
