Family Day at the Range – A Day of Fun, Safety, and Community

On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the Bridgeville Rifle and Pistol Club, in association with BKK Firearms/BKK Defensive Systems, will host a free, family-friendly day of shooting sports and community fun. The event will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 10409 Rifle Range Road, Bridgeville, Delaware 19933.

This special day is open to everyone—whether you are a first-time shooter or an experienced marksman. No prior experience or equipment is required, as firearms will be available to try under the guidance of trained instructors and Range Safety Officers. Safety is the top priority, and participants will learn the fundamentals of handling firearms responsibly while enjoying the camaraderie of the shooting community.

What to Expect

• Five Bays of Shooting Fun

  • .22LR

  • Rimfire guns

  • Carbines

  • AR-15s

  • Pistols

• Open to All Ages: Kids, teens, and adults are welcome to participate.

• No Firearm? No Problem: Firearms will be on hand for those who don’t own one.

• Expert Guidance: Experienced instructors and Range Safety Officers will be available to assist.

• Special Guests: Local dignitaries, including Senators and Representatives, will join in the fun and try out different firearms.

• Giveaways & Prizes: Attendees can enter drawings for exciting door prizes donated for the event.

• Vendors on Site: Browse displays of firearms, gear, and merchandise.

Food & Refreshments

No family event is complete without great food! Attendees can enjoy delicious meals and treats from food trucks including:

• Rita’s Italian Ice

• Plus additional local vendors

Supporting Veterans & First Responders

As part of this event, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and First Responders will shoot for free, honoring their service and sacrifice to our community and nation.
