Honoring the Life and Legacy of Charlie Kirk

1993-2025 Charlie Kirk

On September 10, 2025—the day before our nation paused to remember 9/11—we were struck by a new tragedy. America lost one of her boldest defenders of truth, Charlie Kirk. His passing will forever mark this week in our nation’s history, and it weighs heavily on our hearts here in the 39th District.

Charlie was more than a voice for freedom; he was a man of courage and conviction, unafraid to speak the truth in the face of hostility. He reached people who least wanted to hear it,

challenging them with both honesty and compassion. His life was a testament to the power of free speech, faith, and the unyielding pursuit of what is right.

We grieve the loss of his leadership, his strength, and his presence. His assassination was meant to silence him and to send fear into the hearts of those of us who also stand for liberty. But fear cannot be our response. Just as Charlie stood, so must we. His example calls us to carry forward his mission with renewed resolve.

HONORING THE MEMORY OF CHARLIE KIRK

Even the White House has formally recognized his impact, declaring that

"Charlie Kirk embodied the enduring American values of faith, family, and freedom.”

This national acknowledgment reminds us that his work touched millions and that his legacy will live on far beyond his years.

Yes, hatred exists in our nation—even in our own communities. Those who celebrate his murder reveal the depth of that hatred. But we will not allow bitterness or silence to prevail. We will continue to speak truth, extend grace where it can be received, and encourage others to join us as Good Ordinary People (GOP) who believe in faith, freedom, and country.

This Sunday, September 14th, we will gather at Georgetown Circle at 5:30 p.m. for a Candlelight & Prayer Vigil to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk. Please bring a candle or light as a symbol of hope, faith, and courage. Together, as one community, let us stand in remembrance and commit ourselves to the principles Charlie so passionately defended.
