Hire Me! Teen Job Fair & Work Readiness Workshop

Teens in Kent and Sussex counties looking for summer job opportunities will have a chance to connect with employers and gain valuable skills at the upcoming “Hire Me! Teen Job Fair & Work Readiness Workshop.”

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Delaware Technical Community College – Terry, located at 100 Campus Drive in Dover.

Hosted by the Delaware Department of Labor’s Wage & Hour Enforcement division, the event is designed to help young people prepare for the workforce while connecting them directly with hiring employers.

What to Expect

Attendees will have access to a range of resources and sessions aimed at helping them get job-ready, including:

  • Child Labor Laws Session – Learn about your rights and work limits

  • Job Readiness Tips – Get guidance on filling out applications, preparing for interviews, and making a strong first impression

  • Community Organizations – Connect with local resources offering opportunities and support

  • Meet Local Employers – Speak directly with businesses ready to hire teens like you!

  • Work Permit Issuance – Get your work permit on the spot!

Organizers say the event offers a one-stop opportunity for teens to learn the rules, build confidence, and potentially secure employment.
