The Sussex County Republican Committee is honored to host DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old Texan whose courage and patriotism have captured the hearts of people across America.
DJ Daniel is battling terminal brain cancer, but instead of retreating, he’s on a mission: to be sworn in by as many law enforcement agencies as possible. So far, he has been honored by over 150 departments nationwide. His journey is a powerful testament to resilience, unity, and the deep bond between communities and the men and women who protect them.
Thanks to a partnership between the Delaware Republican Party, the Schaeffer Family Foundation, and the Delaware State Troopers Association, DJ Daniel will be making a special two-day visit to the First State communities they serve.
🗓️ Friday, May 30 – Legislative Hall, Dover
DJ will visit Legislative Hall to receive official proclamations from both chambers of the Delaware General Assembly. A ceremonial swearing-in and media moment will follow on the Capitol steps. This is a moment to witness history—and honor bravery in its purest form.

🗓️ Sunday, June 1 – Hudson Fields, Milton
4th Annual Rally for Our First Responders will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM (gates open at 11:30 AM) at Hudson Fields in Milton, DE.

During the Fourth Annual Rally for First Responders, DJ Daniel will be formally sworn in by the Delaware State Troopers Association. This public event will be an unforgettable celebration of our first responders and a tribute to DJ’s extraordinary mission.
