We’re just days away from one of Delaware’s most meaningful community events — the 4th Annual Rally for Our First Responders, hosted by The Shaffer Family Foundation. This Saturday at Hudson Fields, families, friends, and patriots will come together for an afternoon of celebration, gratitude, and support for those who protect and serve us every day.
Since it began, the Rally has raised over $254,000 for local first responder organizations. This year, with your help, the goal is to raise $100,000 — and it’s shaping up to be the biggest event yet.
Just a glimpse of what’s in store:
4th Annual Car Show Fundraiser (12-4 PM)
The Modded Familia Car Club is hosting the 4th Annual Car Show Fundraiser onsite. Car lovers can show off their rides while contributing to a worthy cause.
Kids’ Coloring Contest (1–3 PM)
Over in the Kids Zone, the Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary will host a Coloring Contest for children from K-8th grade. Young artists will compete for the chance to have their artwork printed on a t-shirt for the 2026 Rally.
Patriotic Pup Parade (2:00 PM)
And if you're a pet lover, don’t miss the Patriotic Pup Parade at 2 PM, proudly sponsored by Yarn & Bone Pet Supply & Pet Wash. With prizes for best-dressed pups and a special gift for every participant, it’s sure to be a crowd favorite.

Of course, that’s just the beginning. You’ll also find food trucks, live music, vendor booths, vehicle displays, and plenty of activities to keep everyone engaged throughout the day.
