The 39th District is proud to announce our participation in the 7th Annual “Back the Blue” Caravan, taking place May 13–15, 2025—a powerful, county-wide tribute honoring the brave men and women of law enforcement who work every day to keep our communities safe. This event is more than a ride; it’s a visible and heartfelt show of unity, gratitude, and support for those who serve.
Whether you join us for a single stop or ride along the entire route, your presence sends a clear message: the 39th District stands proudly with law enforcement.
Seaford Police to Speak at May 19th Meeting
To strengthen our local connection to this cause, we’ve invited members of the Seaford Police Department to speak at our next meeting on Monday, May 19th. Officers will share current updates on crime, safety initiatives, and the real issues impacting our community right now.
This follows a recent breakthrough in a high-profile investigation: the arrest of Jamal Riddick, 22, in connection with a fatal March 2025 shooting near Nutter Park. Thanks to joint efforts between Seaford Police and Delaware State Police, Riddick was charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree murder. The arrest is a reminder of both the dangers our officers face and the critical role they play in delivering justice and peace.
This meeting will be an important opportunity to hear directly from our local police, ask questions, and show your appreciation in person.
Help Us Double Our Attendance
Now more than ever, it’s important to show up. Come to the meeting. Ride in the Caravan. Bring a friend. Bring a neighbor. Help us double our attendance this month and prove that the 39th is energized, united, and committed to supporting law and order.
Let’s show Seaford—and all of Sussex County—that we proudly Back the Blue.
